About the role
In this interesting and challenging Project Manager role, you will be running all aspects of the civils side of land development by delivering completed subdivisions ready for builders to walk on and start building houses. You will be planning and running bulk earthworks, running GPS Machine Control; installing deep drainage; constructing retaining walls; building roads; installing utilities, footpaths, recreational areas; all this whilst maintaining perfect environmental controls. You will be responsible for all financial aspects of your project. You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
About you
· You are an experienced Earthworks experienced Project Manager
· You know how to take a subdivision to completion; fully understanding the paperwork required to acquire all approvals, consents and sign-offs
· You’re really good at building site-team culture, helping your guys to enjoy coming to work with an achievement and rewards motivational style
· You enjoy the site environment, heavy machinery and motivating teams to efficiently do civil construction right first time
Experience required:
· A minimum of 6 years experience as a Civils Project Manager gained in New Zealand
· Development of efficient construction methodologies with a focus on health and safety
· Ability to plan and programme works in conjunction with the project team
· Leadership of staff and subcontractors on-site
· Ability to review designs for issues and buildability
