We are seeking experienced and reliable Class 5 Milk Tanker Drivers to join our team in the Hamilton/Waikato region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused professional driver looking for a consistent 3 x 3 x 3 roster and long-term work in the dairy transport industry.
The Roster
- 3 Day Shifts: 6:00am – 5:00pm
- 3 Night Shifts: 5:00pm – 6:00am
- 3 Days Off
- Roster repeats continuously
About the Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of milk from farms to processing facilities throughout the Waikato region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely operate Class 5 milk tanker vehicles
- Collect and transport milk from dairy farms to processing sites
- Complete pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Carry out milk sampling and quality checks as required
- Complete logbooks, electronic records and other required documentation
- Follow NZTA worktime, driving and transport requirements
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Build positive relationships with farmers, customers and team members
- Operate safely on rural roads, including narrow and gravel roads
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Report any vehicle, load or operational issues promptly
What We're Looking For
- Full New Zealand Class 5 driver's licence
- Proven heavy vehicle driving experience
- Previous milk tanker or bulk tanker experience is highly desirable
- Experience driving truck and trailer combinations
- Confident driving on rural roads and gravel surfaces
- Comfortable working both day and night shifts
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of transport compliance and fatigue management
- Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of the role
