We are looking for an industry experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a well-established engineering plant based in Hutt Valley. This is a hands-on role operating computer-controlled machinery to produce high-quality plate fab with precision and efficiency.
Our client is one of the leading structural steel fabricators in the country. They specialise in fabrication and installation of large scale structural steel projects including commercial buildings, industrial warehouses and seismic strengthening projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Programming and operating CNC machine
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues
- Working with power tools
- Working closely with the production team to meet daily targets
What we need from you:
- Proven CNC machine operating experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Trade or engineering background (advantageous but not essential)
