About the Company
Christchurch-based civil contractor specialising in Three Waters projects, utilities and civil infrastructure across Canterbury and the West Coast. With expertise spanning water, wastewater, stormwater, utilities, roading and civil infrastructure, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Construction Manager
to lead project delivery and support the ongoing development of the business.
The Role
Reporting to the COO, you will lead the successful delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects across Canterbury, with a strong focus on Three Waters. You will oversee Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
This is a key leadership role where youll drive project performance, develop and mentor your team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of Three Waters and civil infrastructure projects
- Managing project performance, resources and programme delivery
- Overseeing budgets, forecasting and commercial outcomes
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Driving health, safety, quality and environmental performance
- Mentoring and developing Project Managers, Engineers and site teams
About You
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- 10+ years experience within the civil construction industry
- Proven experience delivering multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership experience managing Project Managers and Engineers
- Background with a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 contractor preferred
- Three Waters experience highly desirable
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills
- Motivated, ambitious and committed to continuous improvement
