With a growing workload and long-term utility contracts in place, they are seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to join their senior leadership team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the COO, you will take ownership of key utility service contracts across the West Coast and Grey District, ensuring strong commercial performance, exceptional client service and successful contract delivery.
Working closely with operational teams, you will focus on contract management, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement while supporting the delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater services. This role will play a key part in strengthening client relationships, improving contract performance and driving positive outcomes for both the client and the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer Three Waters infrastructure utilities contracts
- Lead the delivery and performance of key Three Waters utility contracts across water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including procurement, contract administration, KPIs, budgets, compliance, variations and commercial performance.
- Coordinate the planning, delivery and commissioning of utility maintenance and infrastructure projects, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project costs, quality, safety, environmental performance and risk, implementing improvements where required.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards, HSEQ requirements and contractual obligations.
- Support asset management planning while driving operational efficiencies, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor and develop operational teams, fostering a positive, high-performing and safety-focused culture
- Experience with NOC, IDC or similar collaborative contract models would be advantageous
Whats on Offer
- Salary package of $115,000 - $135,000 + vehicle
- Leadership position reporting directly to the COO
