A major energy infrastructure project is entering a critical commissioning phase, and we are seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to support site-based delivery.
This is a hands-on role focused on instrumentation, hazardous area compliance, and commissioning activities, working closely with contractors and project teams to ensure systems are delivered safely and effectively.
The Role
You will play a key part in transitioning systems from construction through to operational handover, including:
- Supporting commissioning and testing of instrumentation and control systems
- Reviewing and managing turnover documentation from EC&I contractors
- Assisting with instrument calibration, loop checks, and fault finding
- Verifying safety systems (SIF / SCE) and supporting functional testing
- Providing input into hazardous area (Ex) compliance and installation support
- Managing drawing updates and as-built documentation
About You
You are a practical, site-experienced engineer who enjoys working at the sharp end of project delivery. You will bring:
- Proven experience in C&I / EC&I commissioning roles within industrial or energy environments
- Strong background in instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Experience working within hazardous areas (Ex environments)
- Exposure to functional safety systems (SIF / SCE testing)
- Ability to work closely with contractors and site teams during delivery
Experience with major DCS platforms (e.g. ABB, Emerson, Siemens) will be advantageous.
