About the Role
There is a strong need for formwork carpenters across maintenance works in wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and generator facilities. These roles are immediate and involve working alongside concrete placers on-site. Individuals must be able to deliver efficiently and maintain productivity as deadlines are being pushed through.
Duties will include
- Carry out formwork construction, setting out, boxing and stripping for concrete works
- Work alongside concrete placers on-site to support pours and finishing
- Perform repairs and reinstatement works on existing structures (tanks, slabs, accessways)Assist with site preparation including measuring, cutting, cleaning and prepping formwork materials
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and productivity to meet tight maintenance deadlines
Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years formwork carpentry experience in civil or infrastructure projects
- Experience working around live infrastructure (pump stations, treatment plants)
- Strong understanding of formwork systems, setting out, boxing, and stripping concrete structures
- Understanding of H&S requirements in these environments
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Physically fit
- Site Safe or ConstructSafe
- Class 1 driver’s licence and able to drive a manual vehicle (trucks)
