With a strong reputation, long-standing client relationships and a diversified service offering, the business is entering an important phase of growth and succession. We are seeking a General Manager to lead performance, strengthen capability and position the organisation for its next stage of development.
The Opportunity
Reporting to an engaged and commercially focused Board, this is a true end-to-end leadership role with responsibility for business performance, operational delivery and future growth.
You will lead a national contracting business and take ownership of:
- Full P&L performance, profitability and commercial outcomes
- Operational delivery across multiple regions and project teams
- Strategic growth across existing and emerging markets
- Leadership and development of a dispersed management team
- Customer relationships, market presence and business development
- Systems, governance and operational performance
This role requires a leader who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels, balancing commercial outcomes with successful project delivery.
What You'll Bring
You will be a commercially strong and operationally credible leader with experience leading contracting, construction, industrial services, infrastructure or project-based businesses.
Key experience includes:
- Senior leadership experience within a contracting, construction, infrastructure or industrial services environment
- Proven success leading operational teams delivering projects or field-based services
- Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for P&L performance and business growth
- Experience managing customer relationships, contracts and operational delivery risk
- Ability to build structure, accountability and capability across a growing organisation
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage effectively from boardroom to worksite
You may currently be a General Manager, Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Business Unit Manager or similar senior leader looking for a broader leadership opportunity.
