A civil construction that specialises in delivering quality, solution driven public infrastructure projects. The team works across a variety of civil disciplines including earthworks, drainage, retaining walls, pavement and concrete construction, and other essential community infrastructure works.

About the Role

The power and energy sector has seen a significant increase in upgrades over the past few years. Maintaining, servicing, and building this ageing infrastructure is essential to support agriculture and critical infrastructure across the region. These vital works require an experienced machine operator, particularly someone with experience in the power and energy sector and working within service corridors

Duties

  • Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently, from small to large-tonne excavators
  • Comply with site-specific requirements and safety standards
  • Operate a range of attachments, including augers, lifting chains, tilt buckets, and hydraulic hammers
  • Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Identify and report plant faults or issues
  • Assist with general labouring duties during downtime as required

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction
  • Experience working in the power and energy sector and within service corridors
  • Strong knowledge of plant attachments and competency in GPS-guided equipment
  • High level of commitment to health and safety with the ability to identify site hazards
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
