About the role
Experienced Machine Operator needed for road and motorway upgrade projects across NZ. Must have drainage experience, trenching, laying pipes with pipe lifting attachments, and able to assist with civil labouring work.
Duties
- Operate excavators and using various attachments including pipe slings, buckets, and augers
- Carry out trenching and assist with laying pipes within drainage works
- Jump off the machine during downtime to assist with civil labouring duties on site
- Ensure machines are maintained, checked daily, and kept in good working condition
- Support crews across road and motorway upgrade projects and daily site operations
Experience
- Machine operating experience in civil works (6+ years preferred)
- Able to operate up to 50-tonne excavators and machinery
- Demonstrated experience working in road corridor projects
- Strong background in drainage and wastewater civil environments
Requirements
- Current WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) endorsement
- Hold current NZ Class 2, 4 & 5 licences
- Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Physically fit and capable of demanding civil site work
- Current Site Safe or ConstructSafe
