Production Operator Day or Night Shift Permanent Role

Ready to get hands-on and be part of a great production team?

RobLawMax is looking for reliable, hands-on Production Operators to join a manufacturing team in Wellington. If you enjoy practical work, working with machinery, and being part of a team that takes pride in producing quality products, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for!

You'll be working with manufacturing equipment to produce plastic ducting products, helping keep production running smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Whether you have previous production experience or a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing

  • Operating and monitoring production machinery.
  • Setting up equipment and following production instructions.
  • Carrying out quality checks and measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Performing basic machine maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting.
  • Handling raw materials and finished products safely.
  • Completing production records and reporting any issues.
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe.
  • Working alongside a supportive team to meet production targets.

What we're looking for?

  • A reliable and punctual person with a positive attitude.
  • Someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • The ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently when needed.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is a bonus.
  • A forklift licence is advantageous, but not essential.

What's in it for you?

  • Outstanding opportunity to get 3- and 4-day weekends. But still get paid full-time hours.
  • Both day and night shift options available.
  • A hands-on role where you can develop your machine operating and technical skills.
  • The opportunity to build your experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A team-focused workplace where safety and quality matter.
  • Potential overtime opportunities when production requires it.

Important to know

This is a physical, hands-on role that involves standing for most of your shift, repetitive tasks and lifting items weighing up to 20kg. You'll be working around operating machinery, heat and noise, with all required safety procedures and PPE in place.
