About the role
We’re seeking a Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a busy production team. You’ll be responsible for keeping machinery running smoothly through fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and fast breakdown repairs.
Job Details
- Immediate start
- Based in Mangere
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am to 3:30pm
- $30 to $35 an hour (depending on experience)
- 2 month assignment
Duties
- Carry out mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance tasks
- Repair production machinery breakdowns promptly
- Replace bearings, belts, chains, and worn components
- Assemble and install kit-set equipment
- Complete basic fabrication and welding tasks
- Read and follow mechanical drawings and instructions
- Use hand and power tools safely in NZ work standards
Skills & Experience
- Trade Qualified: Level 4 or equivalent
- NZ Cert in Mechanical Eng. (Maintenance) or equivalent
- 3+ years’ maintenance fitting experience
- Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
- Safe, competent use of hand and power tools in NZ
Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment checks ie. drug test, MOJ report
- Must have two contactable work references
- Must be eligible to work in NZ
- Must be available for the full two month assignment
