Are you a driven sales leader looking to take ownership of a national portfolio within a well-established, specialist business working withing the industrial and construction spaces.

We’re seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead sales performance, strengthen key client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing development of a respected brand with a strong pipeline of work and loyal customer base.

About the Role:

As National Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy, while leading and mentoring a geographically spread team. You’ll work closely with Directors and key internal stakeholders to optimise performance, streamline processes, and unlock new growth opportunities.

This is a hands-on leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities, including direct sales ownership across key regions such as Hawke’s Bay, ManawatÅ«/Whanganui, Taranaki, Wairarapa, Wellington, and Kapiti/Horowhenua.

You’ll also collaborate with wholesalers and industry partners to strengthen market presence and deliver outstanding customer outcomes. Experience within construction, concrete, flooring, or related industries will put your application to the top of the list.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute national sales and marketing strategies to drive growth
  • Lead, mentor, and support a sales team across multiple regions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
  • Manage sales pipeline, quoting, CRM systems, and reporting
  • Provide regular performance insights and strategic recommendations to Directors
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance across all sales activities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales or business development role.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and target-focused.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Highly advantageous:

  • Experience within construction, concrete, flooring, or related industries.
  • Exposure to working on national accounts.
  • Technical or on-site project experience, specifically measuring up for quotes.
