We are looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join the team on a high-profile project in Hastings. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working with copper pipework who is looking for ongoing work and a competitive hourly rate.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, fitting and assembly of pipework as part of a busy project team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and fitting copper pipework
- Measuring, cutting and assembling pipes
- Reading and working from plans and drawings
- Pipe alignment and fitting
- Using hand and power tools
- Working alongside other trades to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous Pipe Fitting experience
- Has solid experience working with copper pipes
- Can read and interpret plans and drawings
- Is reliable, hardworking and safety-focused
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a strong eye for detail and quality workmanship
Requirements
Due to the nature of the project, applicants must be able to:
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Complete and pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check
- Have the right to work in New Zealand
