About the Role
This role is central to the production function, responsible for translating customer demand into achievable and efficient production schedules.
Working closely with production, procurement and leadership, you will ensure workflow is aligned, constraints are managed, and delivery targets are consistently met.
The position requires a practical understanding of how work moves through a manufacturing environment, along with the ability to anticipate issues and adjust plans accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand
- Translate sales orders and forecasts into achievable production plans
- Sequence jobs to optimise workflow, minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
- Schedule production based on labour, machine capacity and material availability
- Maintain planning system accuracy (lead times, BOMs, routings and capacity)
- Liaise with procurement to ensure materials are available to meet schedules
- Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changing priorities or constraints
- Maintain the master capacity plan for the factory
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production
About You
- Experience in production planning, scheduling or coordination
- Background in manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environments
- Strong systems capability (ERP/MRP experience preferred)
- Able to prioritise and manage competing demands
- Detail-focused with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Confident communicator across production and support teams
