As a PM you will oversee the installation of large precast concrete components and conduct low-impact screw piling foundations for civil projects.
We’re working with a well-regarded civil contractor to secure an experienced Project Manager to deliver infrastructure projects across the Hawke's Bay and surrounding regions. This role offers a balance of leadership, technical oversight, and commercial responsibility.
About the Role
Responsible for managing civil projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, efficient, and commercially successful.
Working closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in driving project outcomes and maintaining strong relationships across the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of civil projects valued up to $5M
- Lead, support, and develop site teams to drive performance and positive culture.
- Plan, programme, and schedule works to meet key deadlines and budget targets.
- Ensure all health & safety requirements are consistently met.
- Oversee contractual obligations, financial performance, and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and regular progress updates.
- Coordinate closely with clients and internal production teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Contribute to future work by preparing tenders, pricing, and client submissions.
- Actively participate in management, planning, and toolbox meetings.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of NZ construction standards and practices.
- Strong knowledge of NZ3910 and NZ3916
- Expertise in cost control, financial reporting, and pricing variations
- Knowledge and understanding of Deep Foundation, piling and structures.
