Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Wanaka.

The Role

Initially, youll be managing a large land development project covering earthworks, drainage and civil works. Youll be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and senior management, youll oversee all aspects of project planning, programming, financial performance, quality, HSEQ compliance and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil construction projects from commencement through to completion
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and resource plans
  • Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Monitor project costs, progress, variations and monthly claims
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements, NZ legislation and company procedures
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Oversee quality assurance, environmental management and project documentation
  • Prepare regular project reports while ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget

What Youll Bring

  • Proven experience managing civil construction, earthworks or land development projects
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, programming and financial management
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of NZ construction contracts and the Construction Contracts Act
  • Strong knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation and HSEQ systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance

  • $130,000 - $160,000 + vehicle dependant on experience
