My tier one client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team winning projects and delivering civil and three waters projects that sit around the 5 - 15 million dollar mark.
This position involves managing around 5 engineers and leading project delivery on smaller projects while being involved and taking a hot seat in the tendering and bid process to win your team the larger pipeline of work. You will have experience working in a tier 2 or tier 1 civil contractor in NZ at Project Management level and ideally have worked your way up from being a Site Engineer!
In addition to the above:
- You are experienced in roading, earthworks, water, utilities & more.
- You have great leadership skills with subcontractor and suppliers.
- People enjoy working alongside and with you.
- Projects that you are responsible for run on time and on budget.
- Ensure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations.

Do you bring….
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing the delivery of projects in the Civil Construction industry.
- Hold a Bachelor of civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Full and clean class 1 driver’s licence.
- Strong industry relationships and connections.
- Strong financial and commercial management knowledge.
- Solid experience with job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin / profit calculations.
- Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts.
- Competent users of CCS Candy, Word, Excel and Project.
