The Position
As a Project Manager, you will lead the safe and successful delivery of water projects, ensuring they run efficiently, on time, and within budget. Your role includes forward planning, resource coordination, managing subcontractors, overseeing quality and compliance, and driving high standards of performance on site. You will partner closely with Supervisors and Team Leaders, providing clear leadership while developing their technical and softskill capability. You will champion Health & Safety, maintain excellent communication across teams, and proactively identify opportunities for savings, efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience Required
Strong project management experience within civil, water, or infrastructure environments gained in New Zealand
Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage people, plant, materials, and subcontractor activity
Sound understanding of contractual obligations, claims, variations, and cost control
Confident leadership capability with experience guiding supervisors and teams to deliver highquality outcomes
Strong communicator with the ability to set expectations, motivate teams, and maintain a positive site culture
Robust commitment to Health & Safety, quality standards, and compliance
A practical, solutionsfocused mindset with attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement
Willingness to work across different locations and maintain a tidy, safe worksite
