We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering to ensure compliance, quality assurance, and effective project handovers on major infrastructure projects. The role focuses on implementing quality management systems, supervising teams, and driving corrective actions in line with industry standards and New Zealand regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret industry standards, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure project compliance.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans to address quality issues and non-conformances.
- Supervise civil engineering teams and activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Lead quality assurance processes with a focus on project handover documentation and deliverables.
- Apply knowledge of quality tools, concepts, and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to New Zealand Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) legislation across all operations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and reporting on large-scale rail, road, and water infrastructure projects in New Zealand.
Essential Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Happy to be on a 6-9 month fixed term project,
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
- 5+ years' experience in civil engineering projects, including team supervision.
- Proven experience handing over rail, road, and water infrastructure projects in New Zealand.
