This is a hands-on construction leadership opportunity suited to an experienced refurbishment or construction professional who can confidently manage programmes, coordinate subtrades, and lead a well-established onsite team of about 7 people. The role is initially offered as a 3–6 month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend or become permanent.
You will oversee multiple refurbishment projects at a time, managing upgrades including painting, tiling, decking, fencing, electrical coordination, and general modernisation works. Quality is critical in this environment, along with professionalism, empathy, and the ability to interact respectfully with residents and their neighbours.
The successful applicant will:
- Have strong contractor or refurbishment management experience
- Be confident coordinating subtrades including plumbers and electricians
- Lead and motivate a long-standing team of maintenance and construction staff
- Drive programme delivery, quality control, and health & safety compliance
- Be approachable, easygoing, and professional in occupied living environments
- Participate in an infrequent on-call roster
A temporary vehicle will be provided, and a handover is available until the end of June.
