Our client is a highly regarded leader in the commercial construction sector, recognised across New Zealand for delivering high-quality outcomes on complex projects. With strong industry reputation, international recognition, and a genuine commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence, this organisation continues to set the benchmark in its field.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for a Regional Manager to lead operations across the Lower North Island, based in Wellington.

The Role

Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will take ownership of regional performance, tender pipeline growth, and project delivery. This role requires a commercially astute leader who can drive strategic project wins while ensuring operational teams are set up to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving tender pipeline development and securing strategic projects
  • Leading supervisors, operational managers, and project teams across the region
  • Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships within the Wellington market
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
  • Championing health & safety culture across all operations
  • Supporting regional growth and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You will likely come from a large-scale construction environment and bring a combination of commercial awareness, project leadership, and tendering experience.

Key experience includes:

  • Leadership experience within construction, infrastructure, or maintenance sectors
  • Strong tendering and commercial management capability
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex projects
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational performance
  • Local knowledge of the market and industry networks

What’s on Offer

  • Senior leadership position with influence over regional growth
  • Opportunity to shape the project pipeline and client relationships
  • Work alongside a well-established and experienced executive team
  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Long-term career opportunity within a growing organisation

If you are an experienced construction leader looking to take ownership of a regional operation and drive project success across the Lower North Island, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
