While this role is advertised in Christchurch, this role is based in a remote NZ coastal island location. You can be based anywhere in New Zealand with full Right to Work in NZ to apply for this role.
This position would suit someone adaptable and resourceful, comfortable working in a remote location and confident using own initiative and problem-solving skills to manage both people and projects.
You will take overall responsibility for the delivery of the contractors road maintenance and upgrade work on the islands, while leading a small and multidisciplinary team, and liasing with the contractor for financial and compliance reporting on a regular basis.
The Opportunity
- Oversee the delivery of vital road maintenance and upgrade works on a NZ island.
- Lead, manage, and support an operational team
- Ensure reporting, compliance, and contractual obligations are met
- Manage regular reporting requirements, including use of RAMM software
- Oversee associated water and waste management activities
- Act as the key on-island representative, working autonomously and proactively
Renumeration & Package:
- Salary circa $130,000, with flexibility for the right candidate

Desired Experience
- Proven experience in civil construction or maintenance management
- Strong background in reporting, compliance, and contract delivery
- Experience using RAMM or similar asset management systems
