Regional Sales Manager – Construction & Industrial Products
Are you a construction-focused sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building relationships, and winning work?
We're looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of an established territory covering Wellington, Kapiti, Wairarapa, Manawatū, Whanganui, Hawke's Bay, and Taranaki.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting out in front of customers rather than sitting behind a desk. (1 desk day per week) You'll be working directly with contractors, project managers, site teams, and industry partners, helping deliver practical solutions across a range of construction and industrial projects.
Whether you're currently selling concrete, building products, civil materials, coatings, flooring systems, hire equipment, construction services, or industrial products, we'd like to hear from you. You come from a job thats out on site, measuring up, building relatioships and showcasing great technical knowledge.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities throughout the Lower North Island.
This is a resonably autonomous role where you'll manage your own territory, organise your own schedule, and spend your time meeting customers, visiting sites, preparing quotations, and developing long-term client relationships.
Travel is a key part of the role, with regular overnight stays required throughout the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Growing sales across.
- Building relationships with contractors, consultants, asset owners, and industrial clients.
- Identifying and converting new business.
- Conducting site visits and project measure-ups.
- Preparing quotations and following opportunities through to close.
- Working closely with operational teams.
- Maintaining CRM and Salesforce records and managing your sales pipeline.
- Representing the business at industry events and customer meetings.
We're Looking For...
- New Zealand experience in sales, account management, or business development within construction, civil, industrial, building products, coatings, flooring, aggregates, concrete, hire, or related sectors.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine enjoyment of meeting people.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities.
- A practical mindset and confidence spending time on construction and industrial sites.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Full driver's licence.
