The Role
This role can suit either a Junior to Intermediate Design Engineer or an experienced Senior Drafter with strong manufacturing knowledge. You’ll contribute to the design, detailing and development of mechanical products, working closely with production, supply and quality teams to ensure every design is accurate, manufacturable and meets performance standards.
Key tasks include:

Creating and detailing 3D models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.

Running simulations and generating data for production.

Developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ERP/PDM records.

Assisting with production issues, non-conformance resolutions, and design improvements.

Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.

Supporting process improvements such as jigs, fixtures, and automation.
About You
You’ll have proven experience in mechanical drafting or design within an engineering or manufacturing environment, along with:

Strong SolidWorks skills – modelling, design tables, configurations, and drafting standards.

Understanding of manufacturing methods and documentation control.

Practical problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Good communication and a team-focused approach.
