The Position
As a Senior Estimator, you will be in a lead role preparing, analysing, and managing tender submissions for civil engineering and construction projects. This includes developing accurate and competitive bids, preparing bills of quantities, and ensuring compliance with client requirements. You will contribute to feasibility studies, procurement strategies, cost control, and risk management while providing mentorship to junior team members. Your work will help drive project success while upholding high standards of consistency, accuracy, and professionalism.
Skills and Experience Required
· Proven experience as an Estimator in civil construction in New Zealand
· Strong understanding of tendering, cost control, contract management, and project budgeting
· A strong win rate on competitive tenders
· Proficiency in CCS Candy with familiarity in Topcon survey integration.
· Ability to prepare bills of quantities, schedules, and detailed costings.
· Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
· Confident communicator capable of preparing clear and articulate tender submissions.
· Leadership experience, particularly in mentoring and supporting junior staff.
