Senior Planner
Our client is a respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the Wellington region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to join their collaborative and high-performing team.
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from residential and commercial developments through to community infrastructure and strategic planning initiatives. Youll play a key role in helping shape well-functioning urban environments while contributing to sustainable and climate-resilient outcomes for local communities.
The Role
You will be involved in a broad range of planning activities, including:
- Resource consent preparation and management
- Stakeholder engagement and consultation
- District plan submissions and plan-making processes
- Urban development and land-use planning projects
- Strategic planning and policy input
- Resource consent processing opportunities (depending on experience)
The position offers exposure to projects of varying scale and complexity, providing excellent professional development and career growth opportunities.
About You
You will hold:
- A minimum 5+ years experience
- A tertiary qualification in Planning, Resource Management, Geography, Environmental Studies or a related discipline
- Membership of NZPI, or eligibility to become a member
- Sound knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991 and planning processes
