The Position
Due to continued growth within the energy sector, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager - Energy to join a successful and expanding team.
You will be responsible for managing projects throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes across a range of energy-related developments and infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects.
- Managing project scope, budgets, programmes, risks, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants.
- Driving stakeholder engagement across clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and service providers.
- Overseeing procurement activities, contract administration, and project controls.
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring delivery against key milestones.
- Managing project governance, approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Providing proactive project leadership and strategic advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client objectives.
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or related sectors.
- Experience delivering projects involving electricity, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, utilities, or major infrastructure assets.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including programme, cost, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and contract management capability.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in complex project environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Infrastructure, Energy, or a related discipline.
