Senior Project Manager- Delivery Team

We are working with a specialist project management consultancy to source a Senior Project Manager for their Auckland Delivery Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the action leading projects from within, working directly with contractors, consultants, and clients to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Youll be involved in a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects, many within the healthcare and public infrastructure sectors both; buildings which are being upgraded, repurposed, and extended often in live, operational environments and New Build projects up to $150m.
This position sits between the traditional contractor and client-side roles combining delivery leadership with strategic oversight. Youll manage people, programme, and performance while also mentoring junior staff and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard. The role is Auckland-based but requires regular site travel (approximately fortnightly) to projects across the upper North Island.

Desired Experience
Main trait sought- the type of person who is looking for more than just a construction job but is really motivated to find solutions and innovative techniques to deliver projects faster than industry standard
- Operating at a level equal to experience built up over 10+ years in project delivery
- Experience managing projects (both Interior and Base Build)
- Healthcare or live environment projects (highly favourable)
- Ability to manage cost, programme, and delivery teams with confidence
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills trusted by both clients and contractors (non negotiable)
- Comfortable leading small projects independently and guiding teams on larger ones
- Tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, architecture, or project management (favourable)
