About the role
With an increase in new commercial builds and civil maintenance work across Auckland, a dedicated shotcrete team is being established. An experienced Shotcreter is required for retaining walls, excavation support, and piling support works. Long-term opportunity with ongoing projects available.
Duties
Apply wet and dry shotcrete using spraying equipment on retaining wall and piling support projects. Carry out shotcreting for new and existing retaining walls, excavation support, and stabilisation works. Install reinforcing steel mesh and prepare surfaces prior to shotcrete application.Complete concrete finishing, patch repairs, and ensure work is completed to specification. Read construction drawings and work alongside piling and civil crews to deliver projects safely and efficiently
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in shotcreting on commercial or civil projects.
- Experience with wet and dry shotcrete application.
- Proven experience working on retaining walls, piling support, and excavation support works.
- Confident installing reinforcing mesh and preparing surfaces before spraying.
- Able to read plans and work to specification.
- Experience operating shotcrete pumps and spraying equipment.
- Strong understanding of concrete finishing and patch repairs.
Requirements
- Full Class 1 driver's licence (WTR endorsements an advantage).
- ConstructSafe or Site Safe preferred.
- Flexible to travel and work on projects across all auckland sites and outside of Auckland when required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Have the right to work in New Zealand
