The Position
We are seeking a Site Engineer with experience in the successful delivery of land development and earthworks projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will play a key role in site engineering, quality assurance, survey, safety, and day-to-day site coordination. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, and ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately, and to specification.
Skills and Experience Required
- Civil (land development and earthworks) experience gained on-site in New Zealand
- Strong understanding of survey, set-out, and construction drawings
- Experience with earthworks, drainage, roads, and structures
- Knowledge of QA, ITPs, and as-built documentation
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate resources
- Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality systems
- Confident communicator able to liaise with engineers, consultants, and crews
- Competency with survey equipment and civil CAD/survey software advantageous
