This Site Engineering role will see you involved across all aspects of project delivery. The project includes retaining structures, utilities, water infrastructure, earthworks, road construction, traffic management, and associated civil works, requiring close coordination between multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, consultants, utility providers, and council representatives.
With an 18-month programme and additional work already being secured, this role offers long-term project exposure and career stability.
The Role
Working alongside the Project Manager, Supervisors, and site crews, you will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of works while ensuring quality, safety, programme, and client requirements are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day delivery of construction activities across multiple work fronts
- Assisting with survey, set-out, and construction verification
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, traffic management providers, and site resources
- Liaising with clients, consultants, council representatives, and other project stakeholders
- Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential issues early
- Managing quality assurance documentation, inspections, and testing requirements
- Recording quantities, site data, and project records through Procore and project systems
- Assisting with procurement, cost tracking, and project reporting
- Supporting health, safety, environmental, and compliance requirements across the project
About You
- Qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil construction projects in NZ
- Exposure to earthworks, utilities, water, structures, roading, or infrastructure projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills and attention to detail
- Work based experience using Excel and Procore.
