This role suits a practical, confident Site Manager who thrives in a hands-on environment and is comfortable taking full ownership of site delivery. You’ll lead day-to-day construction activities, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
As the senior on-site lead, you’ll manage people, plant, and materials, maintain strong control over quality and compliance, and resolve issues quickly to keep works moving. You’ll work closely with project leadership while operating with a high degree of autonomy on site.
The Opportunity
- Take full responsibility for on-site delivery of construction projects
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and trades
- Manage construction programmes, progress tracking, and milestone delivery
- Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and compliance standards are met
- Oversee site logistics, materials, plant, and temporary works
- Manage site reporting, documentation, and variations
- Act as the primary on-site contact for project managers and stakeholders
Desired Experience
- Proven experience in site or construction management
- Strong understanding of programme, cost, and quality control
- Confident people leader with subcontractor management experience
- Solid knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Practical, solutions-focused, and comfortable working autonomously
