RobLawMax have partnered with a medium sized Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection Company based in Timaru. With a continuing increased workload and forward work throughout 2025-26 they are looking for a Site Supervisor/Steel Erector.
If you enjoy working outside, getting to work in various locations around the South Island and being able to feel the satisfaction of physically building large structures this position would be for you.
Ideally you will have:
- Have a minimum of 2 years Structural Steel erection experience with experience at a supervisory / sole charge level.
- A great work ethic
- Work to a consistent level of quality and high level of detail

Description of work-
- Be able to plan site operations and erect steel from supplied shop drawings effectively, un supervised.
- Have experience in directing cranes and use of elevated work platforms (Scissor lifts and Knuckle booms. EWP ticket )
- Work on occasion either on your own or leading a team as the representative onsite for Phoenix Steel.
- Actively supervisor and manage day-to-day staff, resources and relationships on site
- Manage and maintain health and safety and quality assurance requirements
Our client works with builders through Central Otago and the Mackenzie District so if you have experience with fabrication this would be of an advantage and recognized within the package on offer.
