Due to the reputation and commitment to on-time delivery of high-quality work, we are looking for an experienced rigger / welder to take on the role of supervisor to assist with the rapid growth in the business. The company is very team-focused
The Role
- Understand and interpret technical design + layout drawings
- Assemble hoisting equipment and rigging
- Erecting structural steel and metalwork items on a range of construction sites
- Fabricating steel parts such as portals, columns, beams, etc.
- Welding steel parts, dismantling structures and equipment
- Reporting variations
Key Requirements
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings to breakdown manufacturing and erection into sequences and timelines.
- Previous structural steel erecting experience
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Rigging / Slinging qualifications
- NZ Driver’s License
Desired Candidate
- Knowledge of Engineering standards such as AS/NZS 1554.1, AS/NZ 5131 & ISO 9606
- Class 2-5 Truck License
- 3+ Years of industry experience
- Welding Qualification
- Forklift, EWP, Height Training Qualifications
- Current Site Safe Passport
- Energetic and fast thinking
- Aluminium + Stainless Steel experience
