About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead crews delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Christchurch region. This hands-on leadership role will see you overseeing day to day site operations across water works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
You will play a key role in coordinating crews, subcontractors, plant and workflow to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Run a 4-person crew installing watermains, renewals, and submains
- Plan daily works, allocate resources, and monitor progress
- Able to produce and manage a 2 week look ahead with the supervisor
- Ability to work to programmes and timeframes
- Read and interpret plans
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment on site
- Maintain site records, including daily reports and QA documentation
- Identify and resolve on-site issues to keep projects on track
- Promote a positive, productive team culture and lead from the front
You will bring:
- Proven experience in water works
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
- Solid understanding of civil construction methods and standards
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality outcomes
- CCC approved water installer
- Minimum class 1 with WTR
- Drainage tickets preferred
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
